Founder, Vice President of Business Development
Michael Kay is founder and Vice President of Business Development for layerX Technologies, and brings 22+ years of marketing, sales, and business development experience to the layerX team.
Prior to founding layerX, Kay held multiple senior leadership positions including Vice President of Partner Development for Tasman Networks, a leader in multi-service routing platforms, where he developed and led Tasman's partner program and was responsible for managing Tasman's relationship with Nortel (acquired by Nortel in February 2006).
Kay previously served as Sr. Director of Business Development for Force10 Networks (a leader in 10Gb Ethernet switching - Light Reading Top 10 List of Private Companies), and 6+ years at Cisco Systems where he led Cisco's joint marketing relationship with IBM.
Kay attended the University of Texas at Arlington where he majored in Computer Science Engineering.
