Keith Hayes

Founder, Chief Technology Officer

Keith Hayes is the founder, Chief Technology Officer, and Vice President of Engineering for layerX Technologies. A pioneer in the information and security industry, Hayes holds a US Patent for the foundational technologies that form layerX's VCF architecture and is chief designer of Arbitrator™ - layerX's next generation security management platform. Hayes' career spans 16+ years and includes multiple Chief Technology Officer and Design positions.


Hayes holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Stephen F. Austin University.

 

Michael Kay

Founder, Vice President of Business Development

Michael Kay is founder and Vice President of Business Development for layerX Technologies, and brings 22+ years of marketing, sales, and business development experience to the layerX team.


Prior to founding layerX, Kay held multiple senior leadership positions including Vice President of Partner Development for Tasman Networks, a leader in multi-service routing platforms, where he developed and led Tasman's partner program and was responsible for managing Tasman's relationship with Nortel (acquired by Nortel in February 2006). Kay previously served as Sr. Director of Business Development for Force 10 Networks (a leader in 10Gb Ethernet switching - Light Reading Top 10 List of Private Companies), and 6+ years at Cisco Systems, where he led Cisco's joint marketing relationship with IBM.


Kay attended the University of Texas at Arlington where he majored in Computer Science Engineering.
