layerX Platform Options

 *All layerX appliances take up only 1U of rackspace. 

LX1 Platform

The LX1 is our smallest appliance and is good for information collection spread out over a large implementation. The LX1 features:

Processor Intel Atom 330, 1.6GHz lx1-front.jpg
Memory Up to 2GB DDR2
Disk One or two internal 2.5" SATA or one internal 3.5" SATA
Expansion Single PCIe x8 or one PCIe x4 (in x8 slot) and one 32-bit PCI
Other Two Ethernet Ports


LX2 Platform

The LX2 platform is our smaller appliance option, with a 1U Chassis, and 1GB of RAM. This unit is good for smaller implementations, or for creating an interconnected or bonded network of systems for use at multiple locations, or to distribute functions among several appliances. The LX2 features:

Processor Intel Xeon 3200/3000 or Core 2 lx2-front.jpg
Memory Up to 3GB DDR3
Disk Two hot-swap 3.4" SATA
Expansion Single PCIe or PCI-X, full size
Other Two Ethernet Ports


LX3 Platform

The LX3 platform combines high performance with a small chassis. This system is utilized mainly as the "mother-system" for managing data passed up from the smaller machines, and for enterprise or service provider class customers seeking a slim, yet efficient option. The LX3 features:

Processor Up to two Multi-Core Intel 5200/5400

Software Option

For instances where neither of our appliances are the perfect match, we offer a Virtual Machine version, which can be applied to your own server, to create your own standalone appliance.  OTS Server Minimum Requirements:

with 8 MB cache
